You get what you pay for here, and you wont be disappointed. Drinks are reasonably priced and the location is right of the King St Metro.

I've visited Alexandria many times and always try to fit in a visit to this restaurant. No, it's not the classic "old town" style venue, but its comfortable and nicely decorated. More importantly, the food is consistently good. I've never been disappointed with a menu selection here. I usually opt for a seafood dish and this trip was no exception. The sea bass special was perfectly prepared and delicious. The salads and desserts are great as well. It can get a bit crowded, and service isn't always the fastest, so don't expect to get in and out quickly.

We were not sure what to expect and feared tacky and touristy, but for a sports-themed place, the decor was very tasteful (updated old-money private-club feel), and the food was excellent. We had a server who said it was his first day on the job, but he was attentive without hovering, made excellent menu suggestions, and didn't make us feel rushed at all.

While sightseeing in Alexandria, we chose Joe Theissman because it was conveniently located. We were a little hesitant because it is a sports bar. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a quiet lunch....the fish and chips were amazing. And our server, Peter was fantastic. I would definitely return if I am in the area again.

My sister and I ate dinner at Joe Theismann's Restaurant after a busy day touring DC. We were pooped and didn't feel like venturing into the heart of Old Town. Joe Theismann's was near our hotel and was recommended to us, so we thought we'd give it a try. What a great decision! It was very full, but didn't have that frantic feel that a lot of busy restaurants have. It was not noisy at all and had a very relaxed feel. We both ordered crab cake sandwiches which were absolutely delicious! And their fries are dipped in batter before frying, which made them extra yummy!

The wait staff was great... friendly and efficient, but not overbearing in any way.

It was an excellent experience and we'd definitely recommend this restaurant in Alexandria!
