Pretty darn good gourmet burger for under $10. You can custom-build your burger, or order off the menu. One-third pound burger is pretty standard. (For the big eaters, they offer a 2/3 pound)
The menu burgers are outstandingly creative. "The Southern" with a schmear of pimento cheese. "Sacre Bleu" with brie, bacon and caramelized onion. "Holy Pig" with a huge portion of pulled pork, BBQ sauce and slaw atop the burger. And more.
These burgers are awesome. And don't miss the sweet potato waffle-cut fries.
Our finicky 20-something son, visiting from LA, grudgingly acknowledged the Holy Cow is a wow.

My single complaint. You people with young children, please keep them under control. We've visited several times, and there are always one or two children run amok. Today, there were two kids under 5 swinging from the bar across the main door. No wonder the chain wants to build an "over 18" only sushi restaurant next door.

Recently visited Holy Cow for Sunday lunch. The service was quick and the food was great. Fresh cut fries and huge burgers. Other sides, sandwiches, and burger sizes offered. Will definitely return to try the other burger offerings.

Just tried this for the first time last night and we loved it! I'm a vegetarian so I'm usually stuck with a re-heated frozen Boca patty, but this is unlike anything I have had before. It's quinoa-based with a wonderful texture and great flavor. I didn't go crazy with the toppings, but the basic pickle and tomato were fresh and complimented the flavor of the burger. The onion rings were quality and you tasted the onion and breading, not the grease. We also shared a vanilla oreo shake that was fantastic. Just the right thickness with giant chunks of oreos. Sooo tasty. It was $30 for two burgers, one order of onion rings, the shake, and a soda. A little expensive for burgers, but we both left very full and very happy with our meals. My husband did note that while the burger was cooked medium, which is usually his preference, they didn't ask his temperature preference so it would appear that all the burgers are cooked the same way. The only negative I would point out is the layout. If you plan to 'build your own' burger, you pick up a sheet as soon as you walk in the door to check off your options. Unfortunately this created a bit of a mob scene right at the front door and it was hard to get thru or around. Because it is kid-friendly food, it was also packed with baby strollers which made it hard to get thru some of the aisles. All-in-all though, it was a great meal and we will definitely be back!!

Burgers are good, locally sourced, hormone free. Needs a bit of character to the decor, but when the sweet potato fries are done in a dedicated gluten free fryer, who cares what the decor looks like? Wish they served pickles. Love that I can give to local charities, including a women's shelter for victims of domestic abuse. They now have fish burgers for those of us observing Lent.

It's not The Counter but good. Decent prices and good burgers. I enjoy Holy Cow. Very friendly staff. It will definitely soothe your burger fix.
