“Small Arlington National Cemetery”

Somber and inspiring. The lines of headstones are beautiful yet sad. Good stop for a history buff without many invested hours. Shady areas which were very welcome when the heat index was over 100 degrees

“It is a must see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

If you are in the DC area, the cemetery is a must see. The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier with the around the clock honor guards is a remarkable sight. You will gain appreciation what our military has given for our freedom.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

The cemetery is very clean and well taken care of. All done in good taste and honor. I would recommend bringing a water bottle along if you go on a hot day. There are not drinks for sale and the drinking fountains just don't cut it after a long walk through the cemetery. The changing of the guard is a must!

“The First Arlington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

This cemetery was located directly behind our hotel (The Residence Inn Duke Street) The General Manager of the hotel shared this with us knowing my son was a huge fan of historical VA. A pleasant and quiet place to stroll and remember those who fought four our freedom.

“this is a must do”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

it is an experience all should do, the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknowns is indescribable... sadly some of the tourists seem to have no clue of the meaning of the whole thing or the dedication of these soldiers
