“A nice little Persian Place On King's Street”
Reviewed July 7, 2012

When Dined: July 5th, 2012. 14 members in the party.
Greeting: Polite, smiling, prompt.
Time to seating: 5-7 minutes- no reservations for us
Servers: Polite and Knowledgeable
Cost: Very reasonable
Serving Size: Very good
Food: Flavorful and tender.
Negatives: Some of the common items not available and we had to alternate. The rice was too buttery even from the Persian standard. The chicken kabob a little too soft though beef Koubideh and Cornish hen were both excellent. The bread was the indian naan and not the Persian bread.
Would we go back? Yes if we are in the area and feel like having Persian cuisine though we would not specially drive for this place.

“superb value for Afghan food on King St”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

The Parsian just opened, and as nearby restaurants, we decided to try it. We found the grilled meats, the rice and the side dishes outstanding quality at very reasonable prices. The family that that owns and operates the restaurant are truly dedicated to serving customers their best, and they are rightly proud of their cuisine. Atmosphere is lacking, so one goes for the food and the value. The platters are the best deals, and you will not leave hungry.

King St in the past two years has improved dramatically in terms of the eateries, especially in the area between Washington and Payne. The restaurants closer to the water have not changed, with the exception of the new Pizza Paradiso, which is doing excellent business. But we find the selection in the area noted above exceptional. Visitors will find something for every taste, as we locals have. We need walk only a short distance to find a wide selections of cuisines, atmospheres and price ranges.
