Nice hotel. Very attentive staff, very reliable shuttle service. Independent that the government rate at $211.00 is in my opinion very high, I enjoyed my first experience there. Good morning food, each day of the week, and great light dinner Monday through Thursday evening. Good quality, but basic workout room, and very nicely appointed room. Hotel was very close to grocery store, several quality restaurant options, and the King Street Metro Station.

Room Tip: None of the rooms seem to experience problematic outside noise.

The staff at this Residence Inn made the experience of staying there more than just a "place to stay". They were professional yet took an interest in each guest that went beyond their job title. The facility, itself, was spotless and well maintained. Breakfast and "light dinner" were included in the room rate. The "light dinner" included salad, main course, dessert and beverages (including "adult" beverages). That's dinner...not just "light"! And the food, regardless of the time it was served, was fresh, hot and delicious. This property is easy walking distance from the metro and the attractions of "old towne". An added bonus: when you leave, if there is still some money left on your metro card, the staff has a special collection container for the cards that are then, consolidated and used for transport for homeless veterans. This is a great place to stay!

This hotel was just what we needed during a recent business trip. Check-in was quick and easy and they offered to upgrade the room for us without asking. The hotel offers and good breakfast everyday free of charge and a dinner Mon-Thur free of charge. The fitness center and pool were good and they had towels and water so you don't have to drag your bag to the pool. Overall, the room was clean and the service was prompt. The hotel also sits one block form King St and there are loads of places to eat and within a mile you can walk to the water. Will stay here again and will recommend to all business associates.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the front road so you can enjoy looking out into the city.

The Residence Inn makes a very nice change from the routine of hotels in the nearby Arlington/Crystal City area. The staff were most helpful and the evening buffet was a nice surprise. Only a few hundred yards from the DC Metro it is one hotel I will definitely be returning to.
