“Disapointing ghost tour”
Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

It's immediately apparent the tour company has a historic building tour during the day and repeat it plus a couple of uninspired ghost tours. No fun at all to be there. Grateful it was over in an hour.

“Great tour for small groups”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

Did a private tour with our family (18 people) and was very entertaining for a night out after dinner. Learned a little history of old town Alexandria and a few tall tales. Walked the streets near city hall and saw some of the historic buildings. The tour guide was funny and made a few corny jokes along the way but was entertaining.

“Ghost Tour”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Don't bother... Our tour guide was a young lady who spent the hour saying "oh, my stars" interspersed with "um". In the hour long tour (that was 50 minutes) we spent time in the market square learning of a famous scoundrel who was only by his first name and saved the town after the Civil war. The Next stop was frequented by Washington, and other well know historical people. We spent time here learning of "an unknown female stranger and her husband we call Mr Unknown Female Stranger.". Ummm, really? We stopped at G. Washington's townhouse. Ok, nice, but not haunted and would have been a nice passing "here is his house" not 15 minutes learning about the fire plaques and privacy mirrors. Interesting, yes but better on a historical tour, not the ghostly encounters we were hungry for.

“Appropriate for the whole family”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Bring your walking shoes and enjoy a night out touring Old Town and its various hauntings. The walk is not too strenuous and includes a few breaks for those who might get tired. This might be better in the autumn when it is dark, but even in the summer it was fun. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable and even little ones will enjoy the tour as it is not too frightening even for small children.
