I have stayed at this hotel several times, for business and pleasure. A good solid Hilton. Nothing overly fancy, though. Right next to the King Street Metro station which is a plus. Near some restaurants, though over a mile to the river and the abundance of shopping there. But you can hop the trolley in that direction fairly easily, or the walk is certainly doable. Good breakfast included if you are a Hilton Gold member.

Pricing advice: The prices on a room changes rapidly. I have booked at a $249 rate only to check before my stay and the rate be $149. (I canceled and re-booked.) Keep an eye on the price when booking!

This hotel is downtown Alexandria convenient to all transportation as well as eateries. Staff is very pleasant and the rooms from the hallways into the rooms themselves are extemely well maintained. An inexpensive cab ride from the airport as well. I ordered Breakfast in my room and the quality and value were beyond my expectations.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were warned about the proximity of the Metro station and when checking in, asked for a room away from the station. We were told that all the rooms were sound proofed. We stayed in Room 538, which overlooked a very busy King St and Diagonal St. intersection, with the Metro station about 300 yards away. I am a light sleeper, but was pleasantly surprised how quiet the room was...not completely sound proofed but fairly quiet. I only heard the traffic a couple of times and some emergency vehicle sirens.
True enough, the Hilton should provide free WiFi like most hotels/motels do. We were there on a promotion and got a deal on the parking which would have cost us $34 normally. The garage is well lit and fairly easy to move around in.
Enjoyed oiur stay and got to use the Metro to go to D.C.

Room Tip: Room 538...2 double beds..over the main door of the hotel...overlooks a busy street, but was, surpri...

Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Metro on King St. Room was large, clean, quiet and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom needed a serious update. Old chipped off-white tile, dated wallpaper, etc. A previous reviewer talked about the confusing mess of a parking garage and was right! Shared by the Wyndham and an office building, it's a nightmare to navigate! And he only paid $28/day? We paid $34! No free internet in the rooms. Supposed to be free in the lobby but unable to log in. Small Starbucks in lobby since no free breakfast. The staff is very friendly and nice. Bottom line--there's a Hampton Inn one-half block down the street for the same price. Free internet, free breakfast and the trolley stops right in front. Guess where I'll be next time!

Super friendly staff! Rooms are very good quality for the price. Comfortable beds! The Fitness Center was nice. Hotel was very clean. The location/hotel was very quiet at night and safe. Convenient location for DC trips. Metro is only steps away from the hotel! Old Town Alexandria is a great neighborhood with lots to do! I will definitely stay here again in the future!!

I stayed at this Hilton at a discounted rate for a show. I was very pleased with the quietness of the room. The king bed was very comfortable. The room service food we ordered was better than average.

I don't think I have paid for internet service during the last decade. Beware that guests are charged for this at the Hilton. No problem, I thought. I'll just go down to their business center and check my email and read my home paper. Nope, not without a credit card.

Parking is $28 per day so be aware that this is very expensive. The parking garage is a very confusing mess. There are doors to more than one hotel, and not clearly marked, and marked wrong. The garage is confusing as to where you can actually PARK your car if you are staying at the Hilton.

The room was very nice, and very quiet even though we were overlooking the metro. Never heard it once. Can't beat the location either, right at the end of King St.

Staff were not very friendly though and could use some training in customer service. They answered a question, but put forth no real enthusiasm. This should be an excellent rating, but I can't get past the lack of a greeting or smile on anyone's face.
