“Bar is lively - Food is standard”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I frequent TJ Stones' bar as it is usually lively w/ a good beer selection and typically friendly bar tenders. The few times I've went to the restaurant portion of the restaurant, I've always left unimpressed. The food is standard, but nothing special & I've never noticed any local sourcing of food items or any measures to use organic or other quality ingredients. This is not important to all, but generally you can generally use this as a measure to tell the restaurants where the chefs take their job seriously in an effort to provide great food - not just ordinary.

“Great Service”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We went in for drinks before and event and had a great wait staff and drinks, Liked it enough we went back after our event for late night.
Great Bar, lots to TV's, although we didn't eat the food liked great. We stayed on the bar side but they also had a nice dinning area. If we are back in the area, we will be going here for dinner and drinks

“super fast service , great food”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Extensive menu with very interesting choices. Huge Beer selection! The smoked Gouda tater tots were excellent and the sandwiches were really good. The bar was packed when we got there on a football sunday. The menu had alot of BBQ, burgers, classic dinner selections with a modern twist. Plenty of parking.

“Ahh Like coming home”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

Ate here twice a week for several weeks, like coming home! Good rounded offerings in the restaurant busy and noisy bar. the sloppy joe's when on special are worth trying, salads are good, overall a good pub food experience in north end Alex!

“Overpriced pub food”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

We arrived before the dinner rush with five adults and two children. We were seated quickly at a large round table that didn't allow much conversation with the loud music in the background. Of the adult entrees, only two were above par-the steak sandwich and the veggie burger. The Chicken Club Salad was mediocre with dry chicken and a tomato vinaigrette dressing that was as thick as mayonnaise. The Chicken Club Sandwich had too much bread and the chicken was dry and tasteless. The children's meals were overpriced($6.99) with the pizza being inedible and the mac and cheese tasteless. The food was slow to arrive and the service was not attentive, and certainly not worth the 20% gratuity included in the bill because of the size of our party.
