My adult daughter and I stayed here for an overnight to set us up for a day trip into the city of D.C. We had a very pleasant greeting when we walked in and were practically given a tour of this modern sleek looking place. Our room was adequately cooled when we walked in and we were amazed at the spaciousness of it. There was a very nice, modern looking pull out couch, and an extra sink at the entry side of the room for making coffee or tea. There was also a fridge here. The computer center was by the couch and screened off from the bed and TV area. TV was brand new flat screen with the channel info in the booklet by the computer station. There were tiny bullet lights over each bed - very nice for late reading with another person in the room. The towels were fluffy and in good condition. We had shampoo and conditioner, hand lotion and shower gel, plus two bars of soap and a hygiene pad for cleaning off makeup. The only thing missing was a suitcase rack - unless I missed it in the huge closet that was over by the window. All light bulbs worked and there were plenty of electrical outlets throughout the room. The carpeting looked great and everything was very clean and fresh.
Near the elevator is a business center with two computers and printers for the guests' use.
Breakfast was excellent with all the usual buffet items including waffles, bagles, toast, very good muffins, cold and hot cereal, heaps of bacon, egg patties, orange juice, bananas and apples, jam, cream cheese, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There were several groups of youth there but the food was replenished all morning long, without having to ask.
The pool opened at 5PM on weekdays. It isn't a large pool but the hot tub was really nice. There is a lifeguard on duty, which I think is Virginia law.
The free shuttle service was always ready to take us to Huntington Metro Station. They were very prompt and friendly and came to get us as soon as we called them when we got back. The manager made sure we had their business card with the phone number with us for our return shuttle request.
I was really impressed with our stay here - we felt very safe and had no trouble locating the place. It sure gave an upscale feel and I hope we will be able to visit again. Thanks so much for your outstanding service.
