“Better for a late dinner/supper.”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

Somewhat upscale but we chose it for an early light dinner. Our oyster po' boys & shrimp cocktail were good & service was very good. However, the fries which came with the sandwiches were over & deeply fried.
This is a restaurant that should be chosen for a large late night dinner -- that part of the menu looks promising with some upscale prices.

“Great for business groups”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

We hosted a group dinner here and it was wonderful. We were in the wine room and it was perfect for our size and our waitress was very attentive and quickly accommodated every ask. The appetizers were my favorite part the jambalaya fritters were awesome as were the pimento cheese bites. I had the steak and it was cooked well and very tasty, the lady next to me had the shrimp and grits and it looked out of this world. If I am in the area I would go back for that, she said it was the best she had and that's saying something coming from Greenville, SC.

The banana dessert was great, the only downside is I would like a bowl three times the size they serve it in. The prices were very reasonable and a fun place all around.

“Excellent bang for your buck!”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

As a member of the group that includes Vermillion in Old Town the quality and freshness of the many locally produced ingredients shines. The brunch menu offered on the weekends offers a nice variety of meat, seafood, and traditional egg options. ( the hanger steak is to die for ) Sam tends the bar and mixes a wonderful bloody Mary along with attentive service. The atrium is cheery and bright, even on a gloomy day.
I would have offered an "excellent" rating if not for having so many young parents with very distracting crying / noisy infants and toddlers. Perhaps if management placed those outside the atrium, the dining experience would be really excellent.

“Excellent Experience”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

First visit - can't wait to go back.
There were so many enticing items on the menu - tough to choose.
Homemade Onion Rings were a hit. Also had the Fried Oysters for an appetizer. Delicious.
Mussels / Scallops/ Chopped Salad were very tasty.
There were really so many items that sounded really good.
We were happy w/ our choices!
Service great.
It's a 10...give this restaurant a try.
