The service & dinner were excellent. The menu options are small, but everyone in our party o 10 was able to find something they liked. The restaurant is small so make reservations. I would definitely recommend here.

On a side street (St. Asaph) that we found while walking in the neighborhood. My husband and I just had drinks in here after dinner somewhere else and I wish we had found it earlier. Very nice atmosphere, restored historic firehouse. the menu looked like it had a great selection. Wish we had another night in town to try it...definitely next time though.

This is clearly a place for people who love a great bar. The decor is dominated By a rich old mahogany bar with all the trimmings. The vibe is relaxed and informal. They have a short menu that is big on tasty small plates. You can count on a solid meal or a fun happy hour at this place.

This is the place grownups should go after shopping on King Street all day. It is about 100 yards from the center of things in Alexandria.

we absolutely loved this restaurant - the ambiance, the history and of course the food. The scallops over cous-cous risotto and arugula pesto is one of the best meals I have eaten.

Tried this place again, as it's a beautiful place, atrium, outdoor courtyard and remnants of its past function as a firehouse. Several years ago this longtime landmark changed hands and the current management is trying to draw a more high end crowd. Well, that translated to much more expensive entrees. Food is 'ok', except for the lobster salad I got last time. Guess I failed to read the menu completely and ended up w/a green salad with TWO pieces of lobster for$17.00. And they didn't taste good either. They were gracious enough to take it off the bill, though. And seem eager to please. The curried mussels were generous and very good. Just, read the menu and enjoy the ambience.
