having moved close to A la Lucia, we paid another visit a few days ago with a close friend. Once again we were not disappointed, the culinary standards and the friendliness of all staff is still excellent. We all chose from the menu; spicy mussels and calamari were both great choices for appetizers, black linguini and raviolini equally good choices as entrees. All is cooked with skill and passion, delivering a very convincing performance. Whilst the menu card is rather narrow this should be considered almost an advantage. What A la Lucia do they do well. The wine selection is not pretentious and well put together, we selected a Falanghini and the ever stabile Campifiorin from Masi - great value, especially the days of the week when you get 25% off! George, the very skilled and humorous head waiter, made sure our culinary feast was accompanied by smiles and conversation. Whilst A la Lucia is not a budget restaurant, it delivers at a high level. Recommended for any lover of Italian cuisine
