We dined at this lovely neighborhood Italian restaurant recently whilce visiting Old Town Alexandria recently for a birthday celebration and oh my was it excellent.

We were seated promptly, provided with excellent and efficient service and adored the wonderful food. My wife had their salmon which she loved and I had one of the most tender, wonderful Veal chops I have ever had anywhere!

Their wine list is a good one with reasonable prices.

It is located on Madison and Royal streets just about 8 blocks north of King St in a residential area so you can walk it but we took a cab from our hotel down King st near the Metro.

I can highly recommend this truly fine Italian restaurant to you and you too will say it is bella, bella, bella! Enjoy!

Ciao!

Tucked away in Alexandria, Virginia is a little "FIND". From the moment the bread is served, you know something special is going on here. The Caesar salad is an entire Romaine with the center hollowed out for Parmesan Cheese and dressing, topped with anchovies and a crouton... The Veal Parmesan is so thin in a wonderful butter sauce topped with cheese...I have never had anything else 'cause when you've had the best, why change? The Bread Pudding & Gelato, not big, just a taste to top off a perfect meal. What does this masterpiece cost? $35 Prix Fix Outstanding!!!!

This restaurant is off main tourist area, near river. Street parking is available. Excellent salads, soups and well prepared fish/seafood. Kitchen makes own bread/pastas. All entrees are always well prepared. Save room for desert

Finding this gem is worth the "off the beaten path" trek. Located on Madison St a seven block walk from King Street this is a little gem of a restaurant. Rated 5's for everything does not cover how fabulous your dining experience will be...homemade pasta, sauces to dream of and tender meats are served up by a well trained staff - whether in the restaurant or bar....we recently moved from Old Town and have yet to find a comparable restaurant -- from the wine list, pizza, pasta and salads to the desserts -- you cannot miss when you dine here.
