Having spent 3 nights in Alexandria and 3 dinners. One was good in the Thai restaurant; one was pretty bad at the Fish Market.....however, it's horses for courses, and if you are looking for that type of meal in a fast food restaurant, then no expectations...you get exactly that.

Our meal at the Brabo, was in a different category. It was fine dining. Excellent meal, well served and presented. Wines good and our waiter, knowledgeable. Obviously you pay more for a meal in this category. But for us, it was a lovely evening and we enjoyed all courses. We would definitely reccomend.

Enjoyed perhaps the best halibut ever! And I've eaten a bunch of fish... Also, go for Sunday brunch. They have an awesome oven baked 'pancake'. It's like a giant donut that looks like a pizza crust. The cocktail menu is inventive, but nothing struck my fancy...

Huge portion of seared foie GRAS. The sommelier recommended a wonderful sparkling rose that went well with the foie GRAS. The halibut was excellent, however, it should have been served before the foie GRAS as it was so mild. Also, there was no chocolate dessert offered. Paula had asparagus risotto and chicken, both of which were great. They also have an excellent wine list and sommelier staff.

overpriced for the quality of food and the portions are so small, they one cannot help but fell ripped off. Service is very uneven and the front end managers do not pay close attention to what the servers are going. Whe bus boys seemed more competent that the waiters.

If you do not purchase a bottle of wine, the quality of your service will go down.

When walking into Brabo, I was expecting a wonderful dining experience (Considering the price point of the restaurant), however I would say my experience was about average.

I had ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and while the flavor of the mushroom sauce was a treat the steak was overcooked.

If they were in the ~$20/entree range I may return however considering my bill was $75 for an entree, app, and salad, may not return based on this experience.
