I had lunch here with some friends today. It took over half an hour just for the waitress to take our drink orders. All the street parking around here is limited to 2 hours. We were all waiting on our checks and concerned about getting parking tickets because the meters had run out. The food was good, but I wasn't overly impressed with the menu. Plenty of other great restaurants in Old Town.

Like so many of our reviewers, we were surprised to discover that this is a chain. It feels (intentionally) like a small neighborhood bakery with an international staff and menu. Low key and efficient, our wait person had our orders in front of us in an instant. We had a pleasant, hearty, and quiet breakfast and friendly conversation with a visitor sitting nearby. They do seem to want to convey a communal image; I think they have two twenty-four-foot tables for friendly and/or friends' gatherings. The wall of rustic bread loaves is irresistible, and yes, we left with an armload that lasted for most of our visit to the area. Oh, we left our maps and brochures on the table, returned after a bit to find that our wait person had saved them for us--very gracious.

... even if we aren't as keen on communal tables as they are in Europe. LPQ is a perfect place for coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch, or an afternoon break. The food is fresh and consistently well prepared with minimal processing. The menu has a variety of organic and seasonal choices. The take out counter has pastries and breads worth taking home, too.

We stopped in just looking for a little breakfast. This place was perfect. We like it do much we went back the next day. We also purchased the agave syrup for home. The staff was excellent and very friendly. We had waffles and French toast and they were delicious. I would highly recommend it. The price wasn't too high as we had seen the prices of some if the other restaurants in king street. I loved the coffee bowls and would love to have some for home.

This is a really great choice for lunch... delicious bread and the trio of dips is yummy! :-)

We come here once a year while in town for the annual art show and do like it, but as always, the prices just seem a bit too high...

Nice, casual environment though and if you want something light and tasty, give it a try...
