This memorial is a great place to visit. They have a wonderful tour that takes you to the different levels and you are also able to go to the top for an awesome view of the area.

Went knowing little about the freemasons. Nice tour of the building. Fabulous view from the top!

“Architectural delight”

Often overlooked, and you should not miss seeing this interesting bit of history. Free tours, free admission, and a view from the top to the Potomac River.

“Learn about the Masons and Washington.”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

First of all, the incredible building on top of the tallest hill. Can't miss it. The view from there is the best. Check out the museum in the lower level, especially if you're at all interested in the history of the Masons.

“Great info and great view”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

This monument is dedicated to George Washington and houses many of the family artifacts. You will hear a lecture about Mr. Washington and see some of the family momentos. You go up to several of the levels that non Masons are allowed to go and finally to the top. You are invited to go out on the viewing deck. It is a beautiful view of the Potomac, DC and Alexandria. Take a camera with you and if you have panoramic setting, use it.
