“Interesting place to see, not a museum”

Definitely make the stop here and read the commemorative plaques about the home. It's not longer a museum, but it's a cool place to stop and find out more about our history!

“Interesting Info about Light Horse Harry”

The home was smaller than I expected but that isn't really surprising.

“Alexandria is charming and great to walk around”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2012

I googled a walking tour of Alexandria and this was on it. Cool to see it and I usually don't think of Lee frequenting the same spots as Washington, Jefferson and Adams. There is a family home across the street that you can go in and has some family papers. It was closed early but we got to enjoy the gardens in the back.
If you stop at the visitors center you can get a pass for free parking for the day. Nice!
