although with a second store recently opened, perhaps not a secret anymore. warm, cozy, convivial, with great staff and enjoyable fare, a perfect place to come for an adult beverage and conversation. extremely professional and courteous, the staff is knowledgable about both wine and coffee and will suggest libations that meet one's palate. if possible, ask for Dustin or Christina. they will ensure that you have a lovely experience.

This is an Alexandria delight. A truly independent, locally owned wine bar and shop where one can enjoy a specially chosen wine or coffee selection and dining ideas that appeal. A smart choice even just for a tarry and chat.

Grape + Bean has become an approved townsfolk meet spot. Conversation choices will range from local politics, the arts, to dogs vs cats to your topic of the day.

To take on the massive chain names and trump 'em at their own game, it takes special people, a unique setting and out-of-the ordinary fare. All are attributes of this charmng Old Town bistro.

Chris was so friendly and really recommended a stellar choice of wines! Did not eat but the cuisine looked spot on!

We went here after dinner to relax, and talk.
It is a really quaint place, you can eat dinner, buy a bottle of wine, have a coffee, or grab a beer out of a fridge.

We inquired about doing a "food pairing" they wines, cheese, chocolate, fruits, and olives, and were told that they didn't do that but would try to accommodate us.

Brad, a server at the Grape and Bean is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in wine, so if you'd like to choose someone's brain to pick, he'd be a good candidate.

My only concern in the future is that the average glass of wine is $10.00 so 2 glasses each with tip was $50
It was a nice experience, however I think that in the future, we may try to find somewhere that offers a Happy Hour, a House Wine or a Wine of the Night type deal.

Go for the wine and coffee. The food is ok. Get cheese/charcuterie or salads.
