Recently returned from 4 nights at the inn. Delightful hosts ~ very helpful and polite! Wonderful breakfasts ~ delicious every day!! The best locally roasted, fair trade organic coffee I think I have every tasted. Very comfortable room (Goodwin) with in-room air conditioner. Location is central to many historical sites as well as hiking, scenic drives, breweries, wineries and pick-your-own fruit farms so it is a short drive to nearly everything. There are several porches to enjoy and a very nice pool when you want to cool off. The internet/cell service is 'sketchy' due to the location within the mountain range but when you want to "get away from it all" that can be a blessing.

Room Tip: Goodwin room can accommodate 2 twin beds - great for friends traveling together!

Orquida and Dan have a lovely home that makes a beautiful B&B! We stayed in the Jefferson room. It was very spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious -- apricot french toast with fresh fruit. The "comfort station" had soft drinks, hot tea, ice, coffee in the morning, and delicious home-made cookies and sweets. We took a dip in the pool at the end of the evening. We highly recommend!

Room Tip: Jefferson is a corner room with nice natural light! And right across from the snacks and drinks!

We took a quick getaway to Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast, and it was just what we needed. Dan and Orquida have thought of all the details - cold water, soft drinks and cookies were available upon our late afternoon check-in, wonderful after our hike at Crabtree Falls on a hot day. Our room and bath were perfectly comfortable, with some healthy snacks left in the room as well. After a great night's sleep, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast - fresh fruit followed by apricot stuffed oatmeal french bread with sausage (bread and sausage locally sourced). The green focus by the innkeepers is nice as well - composting, wise energy and water use, and Prius owners - people after our own hearts. We'd recommend this spot wholeheartedly!

My husband and I began our vacation at this B&B. It's the perfect location for those starting on the Blue Ridge Parkway like ourselves. Great breweries in the area for dinner. Most surprising though is they have a pool which was nice for an after-dinner dip. Breakfast was awesome and Dan and Orquida were very hospitable.

Stayed at the Mornington room for a couple of nights over July 4th. Very comfortable room, beautiful house, very tasty breakfasts and you just cannot beat the pool on a warm summer day. Orquida and Dan are awesome and the location is very good whether you want to visit Charlottesville, or just stay local and go to wineries and breweries.

My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary at this wonderful B&B in Afton Mountain. The location was absolutely perfect. The B&B is surrounded by about a dozen wineries as well as three outstanding breweries. Additionally, dining in the the Afton Mountain/Crozet area is outstanding...we had great meals all week. Jefferson's Monticello is only about a 15-20 minute drive away...very convenient. Dan and Orquida are excellent hosts and they made our stay very special. We will definitely stay here again on our return trip to the area.

My 13yo daughter and I spent a great long weekend at this wonderful B and B. We went exploring to Charlottesville and driving and flea market shopping in the surrounding area. However, what we liked most is coming back to the B and B and relaxing on back porch drinking wine (just me) and reading magazines. The location is rural but there are good restaurants and BBQ nearby. And the breakfasts at the B and B are really delicious and filling. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful with suggestions. We plan to return- outdoor pool added in summer
