“Good Wine; Friendly and Helpful Staff; Reasonable Tasting Prices”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

We've been here before and have enjoyed the wines, the facilities, and the staff. It's a beautiful setting -- vineyards; rolling hills; mountains, etc. We stopped by mid afternoon on a Friday and were immediately waited on. No rush; 8 tastings (for $7 -- and you keep the glass). You can join their wine club (lots of options there) which gives you a 20% discount on bottles of wine. Very nice whites; pretty good reds; and really good roses (a dry rose that is really nice in the summer -- not the sickening sweet pink varieties that some folks consume). These wines are a nice change from the typical wines offered at your local wine shop (even Total Wine doesn't carry these Virginia wines.)

“Big event destination”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

This is a larger winery that was a bit disappointng. They were having a big event that evening and the staff seem preoccupied with that and not the guests who were there to taste wine. It was somehwat impersonal and they offered limited tasting opportunities.

The wines were well made and we bought some as we cannot get these in our State.

Would consider going back on a weekday.

“Busy on the Weekend....but the wine is good”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

We went to this winery on a recent wine weekend getaway and were very pleased with the wines here. We knew a little about some of their wines from friends who had been there, and we had gotten a chance to sample a couple of their wines last October at the Mount Vernon Wine Festival. My husband initially thought that their wines were slightly above average, but I encouraged him to add Veritas to our trek!! And it's a good thing that he listened to me!!!

We had a great time, the vineyard is beautiful right at the base of the Shenandoah mountains. The lady who did our tasting was very knowledgeable about the wines and was more than happy to let us "re-sample" anything we wanted. We ended up getting three bottles of their Red Star and a bottle of their Merlot. We both liked the Saddleback Chardonnay despite the fact that we typically don't like Chardonnays!!!

The place was busy, and we just missed a big crowd who walked in as we were finishing up, so you're tasting might take a few more minutes on the weekend. Just enjoy the views, and the wines!!
