From Lori and Rick A.
We recently spent the weekend at Copper Lantern Inn for our 27th anniversary. Kim and her mom and dad were attentive to every detail.
The inn itself is stunning and Kim has every room filled with an eclectic and homey mix of antiques and family artifacts. It just invites looking around and Kim is happy to share the stories. Each bedroom is made up with fine linens. I could barely get out of bed they were so comfortable. But we didn't want to miss the scrumptious breakfasts Kim prepared for us each morning. She has a knack for combining ingredients and seasoning that made every breakfast an event!
We shared great conversation with our fellow guests and our innkeepers each morning. Afternoons found my husband and I on the big front porch cozying up together with a glass of wine and even sharing a nap it was so relaxing. Kim and her mom were happy to recommend restaurants, make reservations, give directions, even got us theater tickets for a sold out show at the Barter Theater. Abingdon is a bustling little town with lots of history. It was fun walking along the brick sidewalks looking at all the old buildings. The virginia creeper trail is close by for those who want to walk or bike.
These folks are so gracious, we felt like we were staying with old friends. They happily did everything they could to make us feel special. Our compliments and thanks were answered with sincere appreciation. As Betty said, "we just want to love and take care of you". And they really did!
