The food has a gourmet feeling for a very reasonable price. Stayed a week in Abingdon and it was the best restaurant we ate at. The menu is much improved since last fall.

Had lunch w a friend here for the first time...was very happy that we did! Located in a small house w a nice covered porch, 128 Pecan is a true find in Abingdon. Abingdon has some great restaurants but I believe this is my favorite. We shared artichoke dip w pita bread, which was fresh and very good. We also each had the tomato bisque soup and, if I could eat that every day, I'd be a happy woman! The soup was bursting w flavor and was of perfect consistency...not overly chunky. We also had fish tacos, which were also very fresh and delicious. For dessert, we had lemon bars...again, homemade, not too sweet and the ideal end to our lunch. We chose to sit on the porch while we ate and it was a nice, warm day. No, the location is not anything that has anything of great interest but its fairly quiet and pleasant. Get there early though...it can get busy and there are not very many tables. Service was helpful and friendly, which is always appreciated.

I ordered the Rib Eye Steak and was very happy that I did. The food was very fresh and cooked to order. The restaurant is in an old century home that has a modern gallery appearance. All the artwork is painted by local artists and available for sale. The menu is limited but has something for everyone. After dinner the chief came out of the kitchen and thanked us for our patronage. This was a nice touch and made me feel special. I was very happy we picked this place for dinner.

Three of us ate here before a show at the Barter Theatre. No reservations accepted so we arrived early and had a great meal and finished in plenty of time. Tomato bisque soup was "lick the bowl clean" good! Trout dish had lots of nicely cooked veggies and special of the evening pasta with bay scallops and pesto wonderful!!!

We loved dinner tonight at 128 Pecan! Such a welcoming atmosphere and the food was fabulous! Salmon was prepared perfectly and served over the local rustic grits with delicious chow chow. The pan-seared trout also was perfection. A sampler of the best bar cookies was our dessert and we enjoyed every bite. We shall return...give this place a try!
