Twice we have stayed in the French Cottage at Cottages on the Creeper, and we have booked another trip this summer. With two bedrooms and a full kitchen and dining room, the cottage would be big enough for two couples or a family to enjoy. For a couple, it is delightfully roomy and quiet. Everything is sparkling clean. The kitchen is outfitted so you can cook from scratch if you like, or just use the microwave and fridge. There are plenty of dishes, wine glasses, etc. for friends. On the first stay, we told the innkeeper we were on our honeymoon and when we arrived, we found a complimentary bottle of champagne in the refrigerator. During both trips, we rented bicycles nearby, window-shopped in Abingdon, and saw a play at the Barter Theatre. Everything is close by. There's also a free washer and dryer in the unit if you need it during your stay.
