We stopped here for the night on a long trip with the kids. It was inexpensive and the service was excellent. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
It was a good place for a quick night's sleep

My wife and I stayed here for one night as a stop over on a long trip. It is an older property at the end of an I-81 exit ramp. It appears to have recently been remodeled. Room was freshly painted and bathroom in very good condition. We wanted a smoke-free room and the room was fine in that regard. Check in was easy and friendly. Good restaurant recommendations. Internet worked well. The nearby community is very nice. A restaurant is essentially on the same property (did not go to it) and there are others nearby although not within easy walking distance. The free breakfast was ordinary but adequate.

I was traveling through Virginia and had no real plans for my trip. I stopped at this motel and they had a great room for a great room rate! Kristen (at the desk) gave us a room, but then moved us to a room that got better WiFi service! After settling in, she also called to check on us to see if we needed anything. Wow! I am 55 and travel frequently and have never had someone check to see if we were settled in and comfy! The room was recently renovated...very clean and just what I needed for a good nights sleep. Without a doubt, I will stay here again.

My husband and I were in town visiting family and were gifted a hotel stay to get away from being parents for a day. This room was a good pr ice at $52. They were very helpful letting us check in early and check out an hour late. We were moved from room to room to begin with edding up in a room with a stale musty smell. Everything in the room smelled like it had been in storagr for years and not washed before being used. Sheets towels the entire room. Nothing smelled freshly cleaned. I ended up smelling like it by the time we left. Also they were doing a lot of construction. At 8am I was woken up by the sound of some one tearing apart the room below us. It was awful! With so many available rooms and three buildings they could have easily put us somewhere away from all of the noise. Also none of the ice machines worked. And the only working vending machine barely worked. It did not accept change only dollars. They did provide soap and shampoo but no conditioner. Being a woman with long hair this was a big problem for me. The breakfast was pretty good for the cost. Good cereal and wonderful diy hot waffles! This place got the job done but something's could have easily been a lot better!

We have been staying at this hotel 4 times in the last 5 years and were always happy with the convenient location (close to Damascus, the hight country, downtown Abingdon including the Barter theater, and the VA Creeper trail). It was recently renovated. The room was very clean, they allow pets for a small extra fee, the rooms are equipped with microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator, and WiFi is free. Absolutely no complaints, great value for the price you pay.

They are renovating this hotel. However, the room we were given had not been worked on yet. We had a small pet and possibly were assigned an unrenovated room for this reason. h.
the room was a little worn and shabby, but clean enough. However, our king sized bed had the flattest and most mashed foam pillows I have ever seen, Folding them double didn't even help. Could not get comfortable.

On our way to our next job. Stopped in for a night. Clean and has refrigerator and microwave, Not enough electrical outlets if you have more than a couple of things to charge. But over all good for a night to rest before hitting the road again. The price is right at 54 per night. Not a lot close by.
