While visiting Abingdon to attend a play at the Barter Theater my wife and I decided to have dinner at "Rain" and we are very glad that we did. We started off with a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty as well as reasonably priced. Our meal came with a salad and both were very fresh with homemade dressing with a gourmet flair.
The Scallops over Gnocci that my wife had ordered was fabulous and the "Escolar" ( a South Pacific fish) was fabulous as well. Our waiter was great and the Chef/Owner came out of his busy kitchen to check as to how we enjoyed our entrees. all in all a great way to start the evening before attending a very good play at the Barter right down the street.
