This is a local restaurant - for locals. The food was OK. The atmosphere was "local".

I would go back.

Good food for my husband, but when i asked the server if i could get two eggs and nothing else, she said, "yes but you'll have to pay the full price (meat, hash browns, and toast, which I wouldn't have eaten). So i ordered toast, which was offered on the a la carte menu. Never ever had anyone tell me that--whole point of a restaurant is getting what you want, isn't it?

We accidentally found this place. Don’t miss this place. The food is wonderful and plentiful. The price is outstanding!! The owners serve you. They great people to have a conversation with. This place is worth getting off the bypass.

Not bad, but also not great. Would have been more our taste to wait until we were in Manchester. Staff was nice enough and I'm not saying the food is bad, it just wasn't anything over the top good. Definitely a cozy, local Vermont feeling place with food that is about what you would get at a diner. Ok stop for a quick lunch.

My wife and I are Norman Rockwell fans. The food manager at the Hampton Inn in Manchester, VT told us the girl who posed as the model for Rockwell's "The Babysitter" is now in her 90s and still waiting tables at Chauncey's Family Dining about 5 miles down route VT 7A south in Arlington, VT. Sure enough. Her name is Lucille Towne-Holton. What a find! What a sweetheart! Her son Stanley Holton is the restaurant owner and chef. Lucille is a terrific waitress and a humble, gracious lady. She was happy to pose with us in front of a print of Rockwell's well known painting.

As for the food, we were there for lunch. The menu is extensive, the prices very reasonable (actually cheap and certainly value for money), and the quality high.
