We stayed at the Whitney House Inn for 2 nights recently. We were warmly greeted by Kerry and Pat the owners, who have made the inn a very warm and comfortable place to stay. The rooms were spacious, impecably clean, and decorated in a nice style that befits the age of the inn. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Both Kerry and Pat were very accommodating in obtaining map directions for us and in giving us recommendations for very good restaurants. Our only regret was that there wasn't a television or radio available, so that we could get the results of the Red Sox game. In spite of this we would definitely stay again with Kerry and Pat.

All the reviews asre correct. This is a wonderful place and Pat and Kerry are gracious and friendly. Breakfasts were awesome esp the lemon ricotta panckaes. They even put a candle in the fruit salad and sang happy birthday to my husband. Charming and very reasonable prices. NB they only have 3 guestrooms and often take the overflow from weddings so book early.

Room Tip: Ask for the green room. It's the largest.

For all the reasons Norman Rockwell may have fallen in Love with Arlington Vermont we have one, The Whitney House Inn the home of Pat and Kerry Meade. Welcome is not just letters forming a word on a door mat but from the moment you are greeted at the door you are home. That is what you will experience when you stay at the Whitney House Inn and after two days it is like visiting family. Their home is a wonderful example of a Victorian / Colonial style which Pat has decorated so beautifully in a country theme and the Inn is absolutely immaculate in both the common areas and guest rooms. The Inn has windows throughout revealing beautiful views of the Vermont countryside and surrounding the mountains.
The guest rooms are warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated and where in most Inns you would normally spend more time in your room Pat and Kerry have created an atmosphere where you move freely through the house as if you were in your own home. The Great room is a place to sit and relax as you enjoy a warm fire in the evening or a wonderful breakfast that Kerry prepares each morning.

Open the door to your room at 7am and like magic a carafe of coffee and freshly made muffins are waiting to welcome you to a new day. What was amazing is you never hear Kerry outside your door as he leaves this tray every morning almost like Santa Claus placing gifts beneath a Christmas Tree.

The only part of our stay which I regret was when we had to say good bye to the our wonderful Innkeepers and their beautiful home.

Pat and Kerry have done such a wonderful job of creating a Bed & Breakfast experience that absolutely captures the true essence of Vermont and the hospitality that one can only find in their own home.

Pat and Kerry were wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Whitney's View room which was very spacious and comfortable. The Inn is in a handy location and close to many attractions. We had a delicious breakfast and home baked goods as well. Highly recommend any visitors to Arlington/Manchester to stay with Pat and Kerry - they will look after you!

My husband and I stayed at the Whitney House this past October. The home has been beautifully restored by Pat and Carey. Our room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. Much care and effort has gone into this home. Pat and Carey are wonderful hosts not to mention creative cooks in the kitchen. Breakfast was spectacular. We would definitely stay again if we are on the East Coast. It is evident that Pat and Carey love what they do....and it shows!
