We had gone to The Rustler Lodge for many years and ALWAYS loved it but hadn't been back to Alta for a while. We finally made it back and booked The Rustler, and everything was as good or better than we remembered! The staff were friendly, warm and great, and even remembered us(!), the food is spectacular and abundant, and the accommodations perfect. The lodge is still rustic and warm/inviting, but it has been updated beautifully. I've stayed at almost every lodge at the base of Alta and think this is one of the best, if not the best.

The Rustler Lodge at Alta is a skier Heaven. Ski in Ski out with a right turn to the Collins lift is the perfect start to the ski day. that comes AFTER the morning stretch class and a gourmet breakfast with plentiful options. The Rustler offers the perfect spot to end after a full day of skiing. "Meet you in the hot tub" is a much heard refrain. The steam room, sauna, and heated pool also offer strong options. For those needing to take a break after a big morning, lunch options and places to work (or workout) are readily available. Of course no place is complete without amazing people and the staff is A+ - bartending, servers, and of course the staff that serves fun snacks at 4PM each day.

Highest recommendation. Delicious meals and afternoon tea.Dining and front desk staff went to the next level in providing a solo traveller a warm welcome. Traditional lodge with modern comfort. Great spa area with outdoor pool.
