I stay at Crowne Plaza on a regular basis and have enjoyed every stay. All of the staff are extremely friendly, the facility is always clean and comfortable. This last stay, someone had smoked in my room, the manager, Tim at the front desk made everything right by insisting I move to another room and sent a conciege to my room to help me move. I feel really bad that I don't remember his name, but he was extremely friendly and helpful and ready and willing to serve with a smile. Ms. Wanda is a joy and sets the tone for the day!! It was obvious to me that she brightens the day and lives of other guests as well. In the evening at the manager's reception, I believe it was Ashley that brightens the evening after a long hard work day. Love, love, love you all! You are my home away from home family!! Keep up the good work!

Room Tip: All rooms are great, unless the previous guest has smoked in the room.

Another trip to Austin and we are back at the Crowne Plaza!!

The staff here is very courteous and helpful. This always make a stay here enjoyable.

The parking lot right of the main freeway always concerns me but we have had no issues.

A few decent restaurants are close by which make it nice to walk over.

The room A/Cs are loud but free WI-FI is always good too.

Room Tip: Rooms away from elevators are best. Try requesting a room away from the freeway.

My husband and I used priceline for the first time and this was the hotel that was given (we used the negotiator and did not choose our hotel.) We were tired from a road trip and were not "picky"- just wanted a decent place to sleep. Honestly, this was far from decent. The first room had a bad odor, one full size bed that seemed slightly larger than a twin, was depressing décor. Although they did not want to show us another, they reluctantly did and it was worst than the first. It reeked of some kind of smell and although larger was not clean either. They also had some kind of convention and the lobby was filled with a rowdy group and dirty. We were so exhausted that night we would have taken almost anything but this was so bad we thought we'd rather take a catnap in the car and look elsewhere. Getting a refund we were told by the lobby was impossible with priceline. We called customer service for Priceline and while they agreed they don't give refunds ordinarily, as first time users and given the nature of our complaints they were willing to make an excepton. The phoned the front desk and the manager we were dealing with said he refused to comply with priceline. Finally we went to the frontdesk and told him it was unacceptable for us to lose our money considering the awful two rooms they had available. (By the way, he told us they reserve their worst rooms for Priceline customers) and finally after the nice person from Priceline called him a second time he agreed to resell the room. (If the hotel was so booked and they have confidence in their hotel) why was he so reticent to even try to resell the room? Anyway no one in their right mind would stay there. So even though we got our money back (we never touched anything in the room so they didn't lose anything but agreeing with priceline,) we are big fans of trip advisor and feel compelled to warn travelers that this was a way way below average experience.

Stayed here for the Texas Longhorns football game on September 21st. The front desk staff was wearing their Longhorns shirts, the check in area was all dressed up in Longhorn decor. Really good atmosphere. The entire staff we came in contact with was very polite and willing to help with whatever was needed. Breakfast buffet was very good although a little pricey ($12), but it was not so bad I did not eat. Overall I will be coming back the next time I'm in the Austin area. Thanks for the hospitality. I stayed in this hotel 12 years ago when working in Austin and was happy to stay there again. The name has changed, and the décor has been updated, but the things that made want to return were still exactly the same; the staff was consistently polite, helpful, and above all friendly. They gave us rides to where ever we wanted to go, and sent a van to rescue me when I got caught in a rain storm. A wonderful place to stay. We will return.
