Needed a place near St. David's hospital. This was close, easy access (used back roads that crossed I35).
Staff was incredible, room was clean and wonderful. We got a king suite and there were 3 sinks!!! It was soooo very helpful getting ready with 2 teen girls!
Breakfast was good, and varied. The hotel suggested going prior to the last hour and I was thankful for that advice. We went to breakfast at 8:30 on the weekend days, and it was just starting to get busy.
The hotel itself was beautiful, the waterfalls and koi pond in the lobby were amazing. Pay the extra for a high floor and have a wonderful view at night!!
We would certainly stay again when ever we go to Austin!!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a high floor and have a wonderful view at night!!

You generally cannot go wrong with an Embassy Suites, especially with kids (or in our case, grandkids!!)

The Austin Central ESH was no exception for us. The staff, accommodations, location, safety, "cook to order" breakfast and overall experience was very, very good!!!

In the last 10 years, whenever possible, Embassy Suites has been our hotel of choice on most trips. Only one ES experience was not up to par.

I am a huge fan of this Embassy Suites and make it a point to book here whenever I come to Austin for business. Everything from the customer service, to the complimentary drinks and appetizers at the evening reception to the indoor pool and hot tub make this an excellent home away from home. I highly reccomend it.

The Embassy is still one of the best deals in town. The accomodations are suites, with a living area and a bedroom. The refrigerator allows snacks and light meals in the room possible. The full, cooked to order, complimentary breakfast is without equal, and the evening manager's reception is a nice way to end the day. Travelers can really stretch the dollar, here. My trips downtown averaged 13-16 minutes of driving each morning.

The atrium was really pretty, and the free breakfast and free cocktails from 530PM-730 PM were great. We ordered lunch in the restaurant downstairs to save time one day, and everyone was happy with what they ordered and the prices were average. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We were thankful that the hotel offered complimentary shuttle services, RICARDO, our driver, was very friendly. The hotel also offers airport shuttles for $12 each way. My only complaint is that we ended up in a smoking room when we asked for a regular room, and also, the mattress on the pull out couch is very thin and uncomfortable. The staff was very nice when we asked them to bring us extra towels, pillows, and blankets.

Have to give this hotel a top rating for nice amenities and nice people. The rooms are the old style embassy suites room and are very spacious. The A/C needs to be updated because you could not make the room cold. The evening social was nice and the breakfast excellent. Very pretty hotel inside with plenty space to move around. Give this hotel a try when in central or north Austin.

Room Tip: Floors 8 to 10 are much quieter. Stay away from 1st floor.

This hotel is conveniently located near the University of Texas at the intersection of I-35 and Hwy 290. Our suite had a separate, large bedroom divided from the living/ eating area with a door. It was big enough for 2 port-a-cribs, had room- darkening curtains, and was ideal for napping toddlers needing to be separate from the rest of the rowdy family. With 3 sinks and counter areas, dressing, washing, and food preparation were simplified. The rooms face a lovely landscaped atrium where the children enjoyed a fountain and koi pond. The entire group liked the complimentary hot breakfast. Our only concern was the troublesome noise we endured by having a first floor room near the elevators and restaurant. It was quite loud in the front part of our suite. There was also inadequate handicap parking, and the maid wasn't able to clean our room during the times our toddlers weren't sleeping. The refrigerator is quite small with negligible freezer space--barely accommodating a few plastic packets of breast milk. The fold-out sofa sleeper was NOT comfortable, with a prominent bar one could feel through the mattress when lying down. The king size bed, however, was quite comfortable.
