Went here for lunch during my visit to Austin last week. We walked in and were a bit confused on how to order, etc. But we were greeted by friendly staff and learned that you walk up to the pit area, pick your meats and then move through the line to choose your salads and sides, etc. We got the brisket, some potato salad, some mac & cheese and the peach/apple cobbler to share. AMAZING! Then we each got a beer at the bar. Fantastic food, great BBQ sauce, perfectly spicy. Great place and will definitely be back!

Visited the Downtown Austin location for a quick dinner and drinks. Great service, food was very good and of good quality. Even bought some rub to take home to the smoker.

Cooper’s has a great atmosphere and great Brisket-Ribs and sides. A friend was visiting from Oregon and we were downtown to eat, drink, and listen to great music. We had the choice of eating a little early (5:00 pm) or after 7. I decided to eat early to miss crowds-no lines-quick to get food and drinks. Brisket was excellent and rib had meat attached that was like a small roast! Great taste! As we left the line was outside, and down the side wall for about 100 ft. With the temperature being about 98, an early dinner was the best decision of the night. Plus, with belly’s full we were ready for some liquid refreshments.

not bad bbq but it was too expensive compared to others. Thought they did this cause it was off the highway and they had a lot of passers by.

This was my first time here. It is cafeteria style, which means you walk up to the carving station and ask for what you want. We got beef ribs and brisket. They wrap it in brown paper and you move down to get potato salad or other sides. Then, they weigh your meat and you pay. We got way too much, especially since once you sit down, you can load up on free beans, bread, and jalapenos. They have a bar where you can get what you need also. I would suggest that for a couple, get one meat item and split it. It is tender, flavorful, and good!
