“Blue Dahlia on Bee Cave Rd.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

There are 2 Blue Dahlias in Austin, and both are good. This one is tucked in a shopping mall behind Breed Hardware, far enough from road sounds and so wooded over the porch that you may imagine yourself in the country. For Happy Hour deals, be sure to get your order in by 6:30, since the computer ascertains whether you deserve happy hour prices. The little plates offered for those specials might include pate, cheeses, tapanades, or other goodies that are beautifully presented and delicious. The regular entrees are always good, and the breads will make you forget that you meant to forego carbs! On pleasant weekend evenings, there is quiet music on the patio. The wines are varied, meals delicious, portions generous, service good, and prices won't upset your wallet.

“Liked the Bee Cave Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

This is a nice little bistro that my friend recommended for lunch. It has good service and good friend-- at least the Salad Nicoise was really good and the tuna on it was great! It is in a nice neighborhood that has a shortage of good restaurants. Very casual but with a pretty nice little menu with lots of French items that you don't find in Austin very much. I will definitely go back.

“Cozy, tasty food in a cute neighborhood”

Get away from the madness of 6th Street and enjoy a great breakfast or lunch in this East Austin gem. Fresh baked pastries, fresh fruit, friendly service and great coffee!

“lovely lunch spot in another up-and-coming east Austin location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

This small bistro-style cafe is a really nice choice for a pleasant lunch. Their salads are fresh and tasty, I could make a meal alone on their homemade breads and pesto, and I can also recommend their frittatas--a very tasty egg dish that would be good for breakfast or lunch. They offer more hearty selections after 5pm.
They have a very nice wine list, and if you can't save room for dessert, either take some home or at least have one of their chocolate truffles (great bite to end a meal!).
If the weather permits, ask to sit on their back patio, which gets you away from the 11th-Street noise out front and is a very pleasant area with an arbor-like feel.
Open every day.

“Very nice food in a quaint location in east Austin”

A small restaurant with creative french inspired dishes. I love the backyard garden seating when the weather is pleasant.
