Living in NYC, our BBQ is seriously lacking. Lambert's is amazing. The restaurant is great and my mean was outstanding. Definitely a must!

The dining room was quite full and we had no reservations as usual so went up the stairs to the mezzanine/ loft where the bar and the band wre holding sway with intimate table groupings of diners.
The band was Masumi and the Gentlemen and we enjoyed their sets very much along with the prosecco, Tito's vodka and a Lone Star back. The food was outraeously good and more than we could finish but we tried. Definitely try the grilled caesar salad, pork ribs, fried shrimp, ranch style beans with brisket tips, and save room for the coconut cream pie.
Good idea to walk home after this one!

For a group dinner of 16 people, the service was pretty good. The food was excellent. Almost every dish we ordered was good; boar ribs, pull pork, asparagus was exceptional, bread pudding and coconut cream pie were real nice. Request for bread buns were fulfilled exceeding expectations. They buttered and warmed them up before serving. No cold plain dinner rolls slapped on the table. Everything done wth class. No complaints. Will go again.

We went for Brunch on a Sunday. The visit got off to a bad start when we checked in with the young receptionist promptly on time at 11 A.M. with a reservation. She took us directly to a very small two top table right in the center of a wall side row of other 2 and 4 tops. We were among the first arrivals since they opened at 11. She told me it was this table or we could sit outside...and she thought the heaters had been turned on?? Since it was 35 outside we chose not to do that. I was OK with it at first because I understand a restaurant has to save larger tables for bigger parties. However, the next two couple who came in after us were seated at 4 top tables.

We opted for several different items in order to sample their items. We started by sharing a wedge salad which our server shared for us. It was decent. Then, at her suggestion, I tried their eggs Benedict. They were served with no accompaniments for $14. Very tasty but also quite small. We shared these and then had an order of what were promised to be fresh cut in house waffle fries and an order of their baked Mac and cheese. The fries did not taste fresh cut and along with the odd tasting mac and cheeses were served slightly above room temperature. The best thing about the meal...beyond the really good service provided by Alex(?) were the tasty corn muffins served at the very beginning of the meal. I must admit we never sampled their BBQ and we may return another time to do so...just to be fair.

Served cold food and when sent back, one came back microwaved and the other just as cold. Rushed through dinner, even though my wife and I fought to have a relaxing meal. Waiters could not rush people through fast enough to turn tables over. Tables around us treated just as rudely. On positive side, amazing mac n cheese. Also very overpriced. Much better alternatives. Never coming back.
