“Meatball onion pizza was awesome!!!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

Quaint environment. The pizza by the slice was inexpensive so you can try a variety. Not much seating but that's OK. Went on a Saturday night around 10p steady influx of people. Very satisfied. If available try the meatball onion!

“Lunch Slice Dry”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Stopped in for lunch and ordered a slice and a drink. Price was right, if not ominous - $6.66. :) The slice was dry and needed more cheese. Nothing trebly wrong, but not worth the hassel of parking.

“A Quick Lunch at Home Slice”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

After conducting business in downtown Austin, it is just a short drive on South Congress to Home Slice Pizza. I sat at the bar to eat and to watch the pizza and salads being made. The small "Pear Gorgonzola" salad and one slice of sausage and garlic pizza were enough to fill me at Lunch. The salad is cool, crunchy, and soft all at the same time. Cool, mixed salad greens; crunchy walnut pieces; soft Gorgonzola cheese; and crunchy & cool pear slices make a wonderful salad. The sausage and garlic pizza slice was straight out of the oven. A highly recommended place for, probably, the best pizza west of Lombardi's in New York City.

“Worth a visit, check what option is best value”
Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

The pizza was indeed very tasty.

We didnt have to wait at all for a table on a friday lunchtime. The place itself is pretty cool and different but a little snug, elbows were often knocked when the waitress was serving the neighbouring table. They had complimentary wifi which is always a bonus. You could see the chef make the pizza which was cool. I really enjoyed the music they had on. It was busy with what seemed to be locals and familys eating out (a good sign).

The pizza was honestly delicious. GO AND GET ONE. (BUT) I cant help but scratch my head when i have had the large just as tasty pizzas in italy for ?4 (this was over $11 a pizza!!) so be prepared to pay if you arent eating by the slice.

Only grumble, there was some confusion over our $28 check (1 salad, 1 pizza and two soft drinks) with an unaccountable and unexplained $6 'margarita charge?' eh? Check what you are paying for. We figured it was made sense to buy a whole pizza rather than get a few slices, this wasnt the case.

One medium pizza is probably good for 3 or 4 regular sizes humans used to regaular sized portions. Medium is 8 slices (i could only eat two)! Oh they dont do refils on lemonade.

Ok...other (very small) grumble, they should give you a knife with a more serrated edge to help cut the (delicious) pizza. Dear owners if you are reading this, better knives would be appreciated so we can cut up your lovely pizza.

We enjoyed the experience but couldn't help to feel a little cheated after leaving. We regretted sharing a pizza and wish we'd got a slice or two each at $3 a slice.

“great pizza for take out”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Ordered 6 pizzas for a group for takeout. Pizzas were fresh baked, steaming hot, and delicious. Sausage with green pepper and onion was my favorite. The 16" are huge and easily feed 2-3 guys. House salads were fresh and tasty as well.
