“Remember you are there for music”

A lot of people call it a dive, but they are able to recruit great bands and it is very intimate setting. There is standing only and it kind of has a warehouse feel to the place. They do not have onsite parking, but you can park (have to pay) close. Tickets are generally $15-25 which is great for the talent they bring in. It is also an all ages venue for most shows.

Nice place for an intimate concert, you get to feel the spirit of the artist, good air conditioning and decent drinks

“Come for the band, not the atmosphere”
Reviewed February 5, 2012

This was my first visit to an Austin music joint, so not much to compare it to. La Zona Rosa is basically a big, oddly shaped room with a stage at one end. Cement floor, no seating, barely serviceable bathrooms, drinks in disposable plastic cups. Once the main act comes on, it's packed, shoulder to shoulder. We saw Kristy Lee(fabulous singer-songwriter) and G. Love & Special Sauce. Great crowd from students to a handful of boomers. Watch out for high service fees at the box office. No food service
