We went down for a wedding and a short girls getaway. The hotel is very convenient to downtown. The room was nice. The bathroom situation does not allow for two different dressing locations so if you aren't really comfortable dressing in front of others, this is not the place for you. The toilet and shower are in a VERY small space with a door. Not room to dress. The dressing area has a sink and no door.
The front desk staff was awesome.
The ROT rally was in town, but the hotel was very quiet.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor by the elevator and our room was quiet. We did not hear anything all ni...

I had a great service experience at the Holiday Inn. They have wonderful managers, supervisors and a great staff overall. I would like to mention Casey the courtesy patrol officer, Leo in the restaurant AM, Joyce in restaurant, Seffany in restaurant, Leo R restaurant PM, Carolyn at the gift shop, Noelle, Shanna, Amanda, Aaron, Rachel, Ashlee, Alia, Fred, and Danielle all at the front desk, Samantha in room service, and Derek in Engineering. Derek especially went out of his way to make sure our stay was memorable and sent flowers and a fruit tray to our room for us to enjoy on our anniversary. All of these employees went above and beyond to make my wife and I's stay and our 52nd wedding anniversary very memorable. We extended our stay a few nights just because we were enjoying our stay so much. We had stayed here many years ago and this time we will not wait so many years to come back!

Room Tip: We really enjoyed our lakeview room

We arrived around 7 and Parker in the side of the building. Once we got to the desk we checked in and tried to find our room. We didn't know there was two different towers and spent some time looking for our room which ended up being on the other side of the building. Besides that, room was clean and was very quiet. Fantastic view and all the things you expect from holiday Inn. The parking was small and getting to the building was a little weird.. Even when we left it was a pain in the butt. Over all, fantastic stay and we will be back soon!

Thank you for your positive comments about our hotel. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay.

We have both surface parking and a 5 level parking garage. The elevator to the garage is directly across from the South Tower elevators. Although this may seem confusing at first, it should be an easy route to guest vehicle. I’ll share this with our front office staff and ask them to better describe guest parking.

Thanks again for your comments. We hope you come back and visit us again soon.

This hotel is walking distance to downtown by the lake! The breakfast is tasty and has a lot of choices for that amount. Helpful staff! I was looking for slippers in the room though and they did not have any :-)! They have a FREE shuttle to and from the airport!

Thanks for your kind comments about our staff. They really are a true asset and exemplify the kind of Texas hospitality we strive to provide to all our guests.

Yes our location is great. It’s truly the best of both worlds with our back door on the lake and easy access to downtown a short walk from our front door. Be sure to take the Rainey Street route. Rainey jStreet has developed into an excellent entertainment district and its only 5 minute walk from the hotel.

We’re glad you had a chance to take advantage of some of our amenities during your stay and hope you get a chance to come back again soon.

Too close to the high way and you can hear the noise very well
Rooms outdated and old, needs crying out loud a remodel
Not really worth the money
Rooms are not big and beds are not big, so not for crow or groups or families bigger than 3

Room Tip: Away from the front or highway or be ready to hear all traffic

Thanks for taking the time to comment on you stay. Although we weren’t able to provide you with a restful stay, we appreciate you business.

Some guests are sensitive to the sound from the highway so we try to accommodate requests for a quiet room. Most properties will have rooms that are noisier than others. We installed double paned windows during our last renovation several years ago and plan to put heavier blackout curtains when we renovate later this year.

The property will get a thorough makeover and we hope you come back and see us again once the work is complete.

This hotel is nice, and the staff is very friendly. The hotel bar area you can tell has been updated but rest of hotel has not been. The hotel is cleanish but really needs updated. Paint peeling, carpets fading...the bed though was very comfortable, and they actually had real pillows!! Probably won't stay there again unless just needing a cheap room.

Thanks for your comments. We appreciate your positive comments on our staff and facility.

We are indeed planning to update the facility and you noticed one of the initial upgrades, the pillows. We installed king pillows in all of our king rooms and queen pillows in all of our double rooms.

We hope you come back and see us again soon.

Great Location. Close to the Running Trail and Rainey Street. Amanda was very helpful at check in. For extra $10 you could get an upgrade to higher floors with better views to TownLake.
Room was great. Luz at housekeepers was very helpful as well.

Room Tip: Upgrade to higher floors with better views.

Thank you for your comment and for staying with us.

Our location definitely has its benefits. We’re close enough to downtown to enjoy all the hot spots but far enough away to allow us to offer free parking and put you right on the hike and bike trail. And yes, Rainey Street has blossomed into a full fledged entertainment area in the last couple of years.

I’ll be sure to relay you compliments to our staff and thanks again.
