This is a really fun pitch and putt course for anyone who loves to play the game of golf. Bring 3-4 clubs and don't expect meticulous greens but bank on a great time. Go early through the week because in the evening and weekends this place is packed and golf balls are flying. Like the Peter Pan mini golf nearby, this course has the BYOB policy and "golfers" drag their coolers and red plastic cups around the course slowing down play. I've played these types of courses across the country and I have never seen this drag your cooler around policy before; maybe it's a Texas or Keep Austin Weird thing. It probably brings in business but I don't think one should mix their drugs so go play golf and then go drink beer. Come prepared to walk some short steep hills.

An easy Par 3 pitch and putt course. 2 clubs, kids, dogs, BYOB and go barefoot if you like. A fun and inexpensive way to spend a couple hours in Austin. One block off Lamar and remember, the train is out of bounds!

Took my 3 year old to play golf here. He absolutely enjoyed it as did I. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a wonderful time with your kids.

I'm not one to use this word often, but this place was absolutely "chill". Bring a few beers, bring a few friends, and plan on a fun 1.5 hours (if it's crowded). The holes are pretty short (between 80 and 110 yards), and the greens are awful, but it's still plenty of fun.

Known as "pocket golf" by many, this pitch and putt course near downtown Austin is a green oasis amidst the bustle of the city. This 9-hole par 3 course is 50 years old, with a quaint retro feel and huge, shade-giving 100-year-old oaks and pecan trees. Views of the towers of downtown and the Capital building add to the special flavor of Butler. For only $8/person, regular golfers face unusual challenges while kids and novices can have fun, too. (No carts allowed, walking only. Not recommended for those who have trouble walking stairs and steep hills.) Leave your golf bag in the car - all you will need is a putter, a pitching wedge and an 8 or 9 iron. The distances are very short from tee to greens, providing a control challenge to skilled golfers, while kids and novices can have fun reaching the green in one or two short shots. A great place to take beginners: with the feel of a "real" course, the short distances and large greens can help develop a love for the game. Wildlife is abundant - we saw a young red tailed hawk perching in one of the huge trees where it hatched 12 weeks ago. No sand traps, one water feature (a fountain, not much of a hazard) but lots of fun for a very modest price. Club rental, putting practice. Best during week days, Butler Park Pitch and Putt is usually quite busy on weekends. Many restaurants close by. We can't wait to go again!
