“Sex in the City (Master Pancake Style)”
Reviewed April 9, 2012 via mobile

Master pancake is a wonderful way to make fun of a movie and enjoy the movie at the same time. We paid extra ($20) to have sit in a balcony on a leather reclining love seat with a personal waiter. It also came with a mini tour of the behind the scenes action of the kitchen and projection booth. The movie was good and the Master Pancake show was awesome!

“Go for special events like quote-alongs”
Reviewed April 6, 2012

The Ritz is a special venue. It's been a lot of things over the years. Alamo Drafthouse is the most recent incarnation and has returned the Ritz to its former glory. The interior has been nicely remodeled. The theaters are comfy. Food and drinks are good, but pricey - it is a movie theater after all. If you eat there, and just get non-alcoholic drinks, plan to spend $20+ per person, on top of your ticket price. The sing-alongs and quote-alongs are part of what makes Alamo Drafthouse so special. They're lots of fun, with props provided, and games before the movie starts. Buy tickets online well in advance as special shows often sell out early, and show up at least an hour early so you don't have to sit all the way up front!

“Beer, food and a movie”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

The only place around I know where you can order food not just popcorn and candy ... They even carry Mexican cokes which contain No High Fructose corn syrup.

“Best Theatre!”
Reviewed February 25, 2012

This is the best theatre I have ever visited! The food is delicious and the service is quick and unobtrusive. My favorite part is that rather than play the stupid previews and advertisements the average theatre does, here they play little short films or funny clips. Totally awesome and every time I come to Austin, I stop by!

“If you like going to the movies then you will love The Ritz”
Reviewed February 23, 2012

The Alamo Drafthouse at the Ritz is an ideal moving going situation. The Ritz is an historic theatre right in the heart of Austin, Texas. The screens are great. The food is fantastic for a movie theater and the beer is always ice cold. But for me what makes the Ritz so much fun is the great selection of movies they show and the awesome preshow clips that they show. You want to get there early so that you can watch the preshow entertainment. For a little extra you can sit in a huge recliner up in the balcony. Enjoy the show.
