Worth the drive out of the city to sit up on the hills and look out onto the lake. This place is packed all the time so we went for an early dinner on a Sunday around 4 and were able to get in and get a great table. Good margaritas, fajitas, and guacamole, but the food is overpriced for the quality - you are definitely going for the view!

Great food. Try the pork Enchiladas. Sunset watching is a must here looking over lake Travis! If you haven't thought about visiting this place while in Austin, think again!!

From now on I will only go for a drink and chips and salsa. And the view of course - although the water lever is terribly low. The food is annoyingly bad! And by that I mean overpriced crap. How hard is it to cook good food? They need to just not serve food if they are going to be that bad. We had a blackened chicken Cesar salad. The croutons were old and stale and the chicken was something from a package I'm sure. Also had the shrimp tacos. All breading and gross. The hostesses at the front were snotty too. But our server was very nice. It's a shame that such a cool place would serve such crap food. PLEASE get a real chef and step it up. So many better places in Austin to eat Tex-Mex & Mexican food. Maybe they could fill all the empty shops, restaurants, parking garage, etc if they could attract more people with the food. Become known for great food and views. Most local don't go there to eat, shame. Someone skilled needs to come in and manage that place. The monstrosity is there now, might as well put it to good use.

Four couples got together and took a family member from California to the Oasis and he loved it. He always brags about how beautiful San Diego is and we showed him a Texas size beautiful restaurant that provided us with excellent food and service.
