“Great view of the sunset”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

I went to the Starlite room for a birthday party and the band playing was fantastic for dance music and listening. Packed with people, but the service was still pretty good even with the crowds. The Oasis is a HUGE restaurant and bar with many different areas to sit. Food is OK.

“Go to Iguana Grill.”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

The view is awesome, so nobody seems to care the service, food, and drinks suck. $17.00 for a plate of nachos with meat added? Ridiculous. Why am I here?

Iguana Grill is not far away, also has an amazing view of the lake, and food that is actually edible and fairly priced. Go there instead.

“High view of low water”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Lake Travis continues to suffer from drought and low water but the view remains one of the best for Austin area. Food? Much better than it used to be still in the average area. Best bet, Nachos for the table.

“Beautiful view, but beware of bees!”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

We went to see the sunset and have some dinner. We were walked to an outside table with an awesome view, but the table was covered with BEES! I am allergic, so I was extremely nervous. I asked the staff if the bees would go away, and they said no. They said the bees just hang around but not to worry. Well, being allergic, I couldn't help but worry! The hostess staff was very understanding, so they seated us inside near a window. It was great. Service was attentive. Food was decent. It is pricey, and has a bit of a tourist-trap feel. But, that's the point! Go there and enjoy, just prepare to spend. I ordered a "margarita" (did not specify) and got the $8 version. Overall, a fun experience. I'm glad we went.
