Description: The Brick Oven was established in 1982 in downtown Austin. We built the largest wood fired Brick Oven in Texas from original designs, using cast pieces over 100 years old. In 1989 a second location in Northwest Austin was added and a similar sized oven constructed. Each Brick Oven weighs over 20,000 pounds and burns three cords of oak wood every month to maintain temperatures of nearly 700 degrees. The massive size and high temperatures assure fast, consistent cooking and give our food a unique character and flavor. We feature house made breads from original recipes, high quality fresh ingredients and are locally owned and operated.

“Austin Pizza.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

This spot has been in business for over fourth years and for good reason--solid, consistent food and service. Great pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, spinach artichoke dip, and salads. Consistent good service. Convenient location near UT and downtown.

“Average all around”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014

Nothing real special about this place - we had pizza, salads, soup and dessert. Kids ate all the pizza and we didn't go away hungry - but nothing special to go out of your way for.

“Average Pizza Joint”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

Brick oven specializes in thin crust fast baked pizza. My waitress missed one of the ingredients I asked for, the sauce was undercooked and the cheese barely detectable. My Greek Salad was missing most of the listed ingredients and the dressing lacked olive oil. Either they or I had a bad night. This was an invite. I prefer thick crust pizza with double cheese. The Argentinian wine my host selected was good. Austinites seem to enjoy outdoor seating despite traffic whizzing by mere feet from their table.

“Pretty Good & Pretty Good Prices”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014

Was shocked not to find it packed on a Friday night for the location. It was pretty good, not exceptional but not bad and the prices were pretty good too.
