The food is great, Love Love the Chicken fried chicken waffles, the combo of sweet and spicy. We also enjoyed the Grilled garlic cloves, super Appitzer.

The overall pricing is very reasonable entrees around $15-20 total bill for 2 of us was under $100 but we did have drinks and desert.
The only bad thing about Moonshine is they don't take reservations and we had to wait 1:30hr for a table. Food is worth the wait.

My husband and I tried Moonshine for the first time recently on a weekend date night. Although we had to wait an hour for a table for 2, the time passed quickly. You can order drinks and appetizers from the bar while waiting for your table. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We were surprised at how reasonable the prices are-- for about $100 we had drinks, an appetizer, a small salad, two entrees, and one dessert! We enjoyed every bit of our meal. The fried asparagus appetizer was so tasty. The small caesar salad was crisp and fresh. We both had the jalapeno hanger steak and it was delicious! Very rich and flavorful. For dessert we split the white chocolate bread pudding. I'm not a bread pudding fan but this one was good. Not as "soggy" as usual. Needless to say we were in a food coma when we left! We will definitely be back!

This is one of our regular stops when in Austin - our daughter used to crave it and we went at least one time each visit - we have never had a bad meal there! Flat Iron Steak, Mac and Cheese (swoon), Smoked chicken, baked Brie, Asparagus appetizer - we love it all! Try the Ruby Slipper - mmmmm!

Was not the best place that I have gone for lunch, but for a casual, youthful crowd it was good. The help was wonderful, especially the valet parking attendant who insisted on parking us out front. It must of been due to the age demographic.

Great patio and mac & cheese! Really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drink. A must-stop when you're in the downtown Austin area.
