really disappointing meal ...very average. Husband had the steak special with a side salad. I had the fish tacos. They were good, but not great considering we were in Austin and lots of Tex-Mex restaurant choices.

We booked Roaring Fork via Open Table based on review from Trip Advisor and I am glad I did. I was looking for a restaurant in Austin to treat my parents while we were on a quick trip and the Roaring Fork was spot on. Good service, excellent food and a very nice atmosphere just off of 6th Street all for a reasonable price (c. $50 each including drinks). For a treat try their pecan pie for dessert.

Convivial atmosphere and creative dining combine for an enjoyable evening within walking distance of hotels and entertainment on Sixth Street. Wait staff was able to point out which items were gluten-free or could be modified (i.e., corn tortillas instead of flour). The green chili pork appetizer, served in a miniature cauldron, was delicious. The non-GF options looked intriguing and delicious.

We had tickets for a show at the Paramont and Roaring Fork was perfect. It was just next door, delicious food, terrific ambiance, attentive service, and overall a good value for a hotel restaurant.

Roaring Fork is in a nice setting, overlooking a water-filled quarry. This restaurant, built in the last five years or so, has a really nice feel to it. The food is pretty good, with an emphasis on steaks.
