“Yes, it's a dive!”
Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

It was an interesting but dark place.

The burgers are large, so sharing one is possible. The verde fries are yummy, however you need to share.

Blood Mary's are yummy! You can order the spicy level from 1-10. I got an 8 and only could master drinking half of it. Feel the burn!

Not a place if in a hurry! Not a place for kids.

“Burgers!!!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is what I'd call a dive bar but with awesome food and service. Their burgers are well known and lived up to the hype. Full bar and servers but you grab your own order from the window. Completely relaxed, laid-back vibe.

“Good food but not worth the wait and hostility”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We came here during sxsw, ordered and were left to wait. The food eventually arrived after an hour and a half, we asked twice how long the wait would be and were given annoyed sounding unclear answers. We had paid first so they wouldn't give us our money back. It wouldn't have been so bad had they have given us an indication as it didn't look busy!

The food was good but you would get better elsewhere with far less upset and hassle.

“Good burger, dog and fries, fun atmosphere, too crowded!”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

This place is a must stop for any tourists in Austin looking for a good burger with a twist. Some of the flavors they have to offer are not found anywhere else. I had the Chicago burger which included romaine lettuce, tomato, bacon, and cheddar. My husband had the KC burger which is the same as above except for the veggies plus BBQ sauce and grilled onions. The fries with the queso sauce is amazing! I had their signature tomatillo green sauce on the side and it was good but too hot for my taste. The hot dog was good also. It is a fun atmosphere, dark with a pool table. During lunch it was super packed, overly crowded and they were behind on wait staff so it took over an hour to get our food. It was good and I would have waited over an hour for those fries but not for that burger.

“Great burger and fries in a dive bar”
Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

This place is unique to say the least. Drunk guys at the bar, wierd decor, awesome jukebox. The burgers are big and delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The chili verde fries are a must. Service was just ok. Stop here and eat, you won't regret it.
