“Go for breakfast”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

I didn't order the famous Don Juan, I was going to have SaltLick BBQ for lunch so I didn't want to get to stuffed. The flour tortillas are home made as well as the spicy salsa. I don't know what others are complaining about with unseasoned meat but the migas and chicken breakfast tacos did not disappoint. If you're in Austin you gotta stop by Juan to get some great Tex-Mex.

“Bare bones restaurant with super food”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

An Austin landmark! You must try this place if you like good Tex-Mex. This place is a favorite for young and old and has been featured in several Food Channel shows. If you come in peak breakfast or lunch time, be prepared to wait outside until room is made... long lines are not uncommon, but worth it.

“Not even Man V. Food could feign a smile!”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Completely unseasoned, grill scrambled eggs with greasy unseasoned meats, served with powdery un-melted low grade yellow cheese on store bought tortillas. This place has nothing to do with Mexican food, and is a DISGRACE to Austin's Tex-Mex fame!

“Good salsa.....”
Reviewed September 4, 2012 via mobile

This place is off the beaten path. Its located in the Latino area of Austin I think.
Man vs food did a show here.

I ordered their famous don Juan and a side order of bacons and one sunny side up egg. I have this thought that if you can't cook a sunny side up egg you shouldn't serve breakfast :-)
The don Juan was good, could have used more cheese. I really liked their salsa/hot sauce. You could taste the habenero in it. Nice and hot. And the price of the food was very reasonable!!
Their service left a lot to be desired.

“DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

This hidden gem in Austin is a must visit place when in town. Be prepared to wait but the line moves quickly. We were welcomed by the owner like he had known us for years. The signature burrito is so good and such a value!! You will have all the energy after this to walk all over Austin. Go and enjoy this place, do not be put off by the looks of the location. It is worth stopping here!!!!!!
