A smaller store location - especially when it's warm, and a lineup can reach out the door for awhile. As for quality of ice cream - amazing! Go for the mexican vanilla, with any topping.

I haven't been an avid ice cream lover since I was a child, but my faith is restored! The creamy quality is impeccable and they put first quality fresh fruit in whatever you order. They were also open late and in a great location. We stayed at the Renaissance which was very close by and was able to indulge with the family we were visiting in Austin after the hotel pool closed. A very long line (which indicates how good it is) moves very quickly even around 10 pm. Kudos to the best ice cream I have ever had.

Its a funky little place designed to move customers through quickly. The ice creams are made on site daily with the standard flavors and some unique mixes. I went with what employees said was a top seller from the list of Amy's specific specialties, The Salty Dog. Chocolate mixed with Heath bar covered in some sea salt and caramel. Chocolate has never been my first choice. With that being said, it was delicious! It was too rich for me to finish, my husband and son helped me out. The had chocolate mixed with peanut butter and Mexican vanilla mixed with strawberries and pecans. Both of theirs were great as well. Definately worth a trip to have a cool treat. The employees were patient and helpful. A negative is that I felt it was pricey.
