“Come for the atmosphere”
Reviewed October 22, 2012 via mobile

When I asked Austinites where I had to eat before I left, it was unanimous: Chuy's. But I think they said this because it is an institution. Yes, the atmosphere is fun, and the wait staff is quirky, so it makes for a fun meal. Just don't expect outstanding food. Instead, expect good food at good prices. And definitely expect really good homemade salsa.

“Always delicious”

Love the green hatch chilis - great combo of TexMex and New Mexico food. They sell the BEST tee shirts, too!

“Austin "must go" for Tex-Mex & Ritas”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

Great Tex-Mex menu with large variety of sauces, salsas, and styles... not typical "tex-mex"... love the enchiladas, home-made tortillas; good for happy hour and great "Keep Austin Weird" decor make this an Austin local's favorite & top restaurant... whether the NW location, the one on Lamar (with Elvis shrine), or one near downtown.

“Guacamole tacos”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

This is a good place for lunch or a simple dinner.
It's fast (once you get a table, that is), cheap and serves decent food.
No surprises here.

The Guacamole tacos are a refreshing alternative to the cheese loaded vegetarian dishes.

“Creamy jalapeño salsa is worth stopping for!”
Reviewed September 8, 2012 via mobile

The food was fantastic, fresh, hot and well prepared.  The service was good but not great, lunch on a Friday might be the issue, very busy!  This is a place that you should make a pint to visit when in Austin.
