Four of us had lunch here on a Monday. Visiting from out of town, it was the first time for all of us. I had heard for years about the great food so we decided to give it a try. We chose the location on Riverside Drive. Parking was plentiful, there was no wait for a table, our waitress was exceptional. We ordered comfort food: chicken fried steak and sides of garlic cheese grits and fried okra. We asked for additional gravy for the chicken fried steak and the extra gravy was much better tasting than what was on our steak. The food was very good and we ended up taking half of it home. Did I mention the fantastic bread basket with rolls and cornbread? So yummy! We also had pecan pie and pumpkin pie. We may have been too full to adequately appreciate the desserts, as I was not that impressed with the pecan. The pumpkin was very good however. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
