“Josie's Chef is Brilliant”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Eat here. You must eat here! From our appetizer - the fried Brussels sprouts, through the entree - Udon soup with homemade noodles and crispy fish, to the dessert of chocolate mousse with brown butter ice cream, this was a fantastic meal. My sisters had the quail - excellent, and this was their second time dining there in our 5 day visit to Austin. We go back yearly, and this will be our go-to place for a fancy and elegant dinner. I don't give 5 stars often. Seriously, eat there.

“Great dinner and ambience”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

It has been a couple of years since we've been to Cafe Josie. We tried it this week, and the menu and wine list were awesome. The pork shoulder was delicious and the service was very pleasant. One of the best places for a nice quiet, romantic dinner!

“Dinner with a friend”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

Staying in Austin for the weekend, would only have found this with our local friend's help.
The food was excellent and super tasty. The waiter a little hipster serious for our cheeky Australian commentary but service was suburb.
Would return and recommend to others.

“New Years Dinner”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Had a great dinner NYE. Service was very attentive and food was excellent. Love BYOB!! They have their own wines but of course it is much cheaper to pay the cork fee if you bring a nice bottle (or 2). Look forward to going back, and I'm sure it will be before next NYE.
