“Wine and steaks.”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This upscale steakhouse has great food and a huge selection of wines by the glass. Create you own wine flights for tasting.

“This was my favorite steakhouse”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

For years before Austin attracted a half dozen other first-rate steakhouses. The original downtown location (there is a north location now in the Domain) is a block and a half from the Four Seasons and across from the convention center. This is prime beef and fresh off the boat -or plane- seafood cooked perfectly. Terrific wine list, classic salads and sides, a chocolate dessert for the hard-core chocoholic. Always excellent service. First rank invariably. Not cheap but never disappoints.

“Not a fan”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Been to several Flemings over the years including the Austin location. They want to be in a class with the Capital Grille, Morton's and Ruth Chris' BUT they are just not making the grade.

The entrees are not as well prepared, I've had steaks several times that were under cooked. The sides are just mediocre. I am sorry, they need to up their game to get me as a regular.

“Chipotle Mac and Cheese!!!!!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Flemings was our destination of choice for a birthday celebration, and it was certainly a celebration to remember! Excellent service from the valet parking to the hostess, wait staff, and even bus people! The warm, crusty bread accompanied by the butter/cheese spreads was a fabulous start. The filet mignon/ Cobb salad was beyond delicious! The sides come served "family style" to share - we had the Flemings potatoes, creamed spinach, and chipotle macaroni and cheese. You simply MUST try the mac and cheese! WOW! The turtle pie with caramel sauce and freshly whipped cream was a perfect finale to our celebration! The atmosphere is very warm, with beautiful wood paneling, plush seating, and intimate lighting. A very special place for a very special dining experience.

“Best steaks, ever!”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

I love Flemings--from the 5 for $6 before 7 happy hour, to the wine tastings and dinner. This time, three of us went to have a beautiful splurge dinner. I had the ribeye, and it was to die for! the sides of Fleming's potatoes and aspargus were wonderful, as was the bread and special spreads. Always a winner.
